At times, my girl who is 18 months+ will wake up in the middle of the night and play for a while before going back to sleep, but last night, we really had a tough time. Imagine… she awoke at 12midnight and only got back to sleep at 3.30am *blek*.
Her nap and bedtime were as usual, we really didn’t know what was wrong with her. She walked around in the bedroom, climbed here and there, lied down for a while then gets up again, made a lot of noise until her daddy didn’t get to sleep until four something…
Luckily, her kor-kor was too tired to notice her, but this poor mummy who had been very drowsy and had tried to lullaby her, reasoning her but not worked, finally had to pretend to sleep and watched over her quietly with the hope she could fall asleep faster, it's really a long wait, sigh...
If I didn't worry about her safety (afraid she would jump around the bed and accidentally fall to the floor) then I would just go to sleep. Would like to know how other parents deal with their kids in this situation.
Anyway I hope it won't happen again in future.

Ahh, it's just a phase that kids go through. Don't be too hard on her. Soon, she'll go back to sleep on her own once she wakes up in the middle of the night. You can try keeping the lights off and ignoring her. Maybe after a few days, she will return to her normal routine.
tot's mom,
I hope so, this morning she woke up at four something, luckily she went back to sleep in 10 min.
probably play too much day time? U know like sleep walking? my bro used to do that, he'd pick up his toy gun and start shooting and walking around, then he goes back to sleep
jazzmint,
yeah, maybe she was too tired coz we had many outings during my friend's visit and christmas time. Hope she will be back to normal soon.
