Dreams I Always Have

I can’t remember when it started; I have a similar dream once in a while. It’s about having school exam, in the dreams, sometimes I can do the exam very well, but sometimes I can’t finish it on time. Last night I dreamed about it again, this time I missed the exam, I totally forgot about the exam and only realized it an hour later.

It’s weird because I have left school for more than fifteen years, but I still can have this kind of dream, sigh…

There is another dream I always have every time I fall sick. In the dream I need to push something like a very big tablet and of course I can’t do it no matter how many times I try.

Does anyone know why we always have the similar dream? And how about you, have you ever had the similar dream?

Need to Buy a Luggage?

Hubby needs to travel more since he joined another company in the same line early this year. Most of the time, he will travel for a few days only, but sometimes he may travel longer. So far he has been to Australia, Yemen, Singapore and India.

Recently one of the luggages which he usually used for travel got broken; there is a long crack at the front part. I don’t think it can be repaired and that means we need to get a new luggage.

After hunting around finally we found this wonderful shop, they offer more luggages from more stores which means better deals for us. We can shop for luggage by brand. Beside that, they also provide buying guide which will give us a good idea in choosing the product.

Need to buy a luggage? Do visit this wonderful shop before you decide to buy!

Dow was down sharply tracking the shares mainly those of banking and financial sectors after news that American International Group Inc (AIG) has gone bankrupt, something that had never been thought before by the public.

Mid Autumn Festival

Mid Autumn Festival, also known as Moon Cake Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar. This year it fell on 14th September of the solar calendar and it was a quiet one for us.

Since few years back brother in law, sister in law and their families will come back to celebrate the festival with their father. Unfortunately this year hubby was not feeling well, he had fever, flu and red eyes, and to avoid it spreading to others we advised them not to come over for the celebration. So there were only Teng Hong and Xin Yi playing with the lanterns.

Small Business Loan

My brother and sister in law started their business two and a half years ago. They sell children’s clothing and ladies casual wear. It is a wholesale business, located at Central Market. The business is getting response and since few months ago they have started to import some clothing.

To fund their business expansion, they are going to get Small Business Loan and I heard that some bank marketing officers have tried to approach my brother. Since there is a lot of companies offer Small Business Loans, my brother needs time to make decision.

To help him find the right source, I would recommend him the Small Business Financing program from EzUnsecured.com. Their Top-Notch Experts with an average of 10 years experience are ready to help him get funded with easy process, fast funding and excellent service.

Teng Hong: “Bye bye, diapers”

Since middle of July Teng Hong has gone diaperless at nighttime. So far he did it well although once in a while he will still wet his bed especially when he drinks too much before his bedtime. If this happened normally he would cry and ask mummy to change his pajamas.

To avoid him wet his bed, mummy manages to take him to toilet at midnight for the nights he has too much drink.

Mummy is so happy with his achievement, in fact mummy had tried to let him go diaperless a few times early this year but he was not quite ready. This time he was the one who declared himself ready.

Well done, Teng Hong! Mummy is proud of you and will pass all your left over diapers to your little sister, Xin Yi who still needs to wear diaper for bedtime and long hours outings.

Later, one of the table’s legs was accidentally broken by Xin Yi, she used the table as a slide. *roll eyes*

I bought another table which is smaller and since then she can’t get up to the table anymore; she will still disturb her brother once in a while but it is much better than if she gets up to the table and dance around.

High Fever Attack!

Three of my family members are sick. It started from Teng Hong who had flu and fever last week, followed by severe sore throat.

Last Saturday his left tonsil was enlarged until covered slightly more than half of his throat. Just imagine the edge of the uvula (the piece of tissue that dangles down at the back of the throat) was pushed to the right side. Poor little boy! It was very sore and he couldn’t swallow any food or drink. We took him to the nearby 24 hours clinic at midnight and he felt better as soon as he started the antibiotic course. Now that he still has a bit running nose and his tonsil is getting smaller but yet to get back to the previous size. There is no more sore throat and his appetite is back to normal.

This week, Xin Yi was attacked by high fever for a few days. Last two nights, I was shocked to find out that her body temperature was 40.8 degree Celsius. It was 3am; she got her previous fever medicine (suppository) at 9.15pm, less than six hours ago and antibiotic at 10.30pm. I quickly inserted a suppository into her rectum and sponged bath her. Fifteen minutes later the fever gradually subsided. She is getting better now.

Daddy is not feeling well too. He has fever and red eye. Hope he will get well soon and don’t pass the germs to others!

Junko's Visit

Time really flies, after a 5 days 5 nights stayed with us, last Tuesday night my Japanese friend, Junko Kishi went back to Tokyo. It’s still fresh in my mind the time I picked her up at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) a week ago.

“We are older”, that’s our first impression when we met at the airport. This is our second meeting after the first meeting at Taipei City tour fourteen years ago.

We had a great catch up, both Teng Hong & Xin Yi like to play with her and during her stay in Kuala Lumpur, my husband and I managed to bring her to some places of interest in Kuala Lumpur, such as: Petronas Twin Towers, PetroSains, KL Aquaria, National Museum, KL Tower, Batu Caves, National Mosque, KL Bird Park, Putrajaya and passed through some places like: Istana Negara, Merdeka Square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Old Railway Station, Petaling Street and Lake Garden.

We also went to Malacca, the historical state of Malaysia which is rich with heritage buildings, ancient landmarks and colonial structures.

Junko loves the food here. She can take spicy food like curry and we let her tried some food like: Madam Kwan Nasi Lemak, Bak Kut Teh, Chinese cuisine from Esquire Kitchen, Fried Oyster, Noodles cooked in Hokkien & Cantonese style, Char Kuey Teow, Nyonya Food, etc. She also loves to eat Malaysian local fruits such as: rambutan, pulasan, mangosteen, mango, durian, etc.

At the last day of her visit, she cooked Japanese food for us, Sushi-mix rice and curry. Some of the ingredients she brought from Japan and some she got from Jusco, Mid Valley. Hmm, they’re yummy! They suit my taste bud very well as I love Japanese food.

According to Junko, Malaysia is a beautiful country, the food and fruits are delicious and she will recommend her husband to visit Malaysia in future.

I really thank her for coming to visit me and my family. I appreciate it very much.

Favorite Great American Seafood Recipe

My family love to eat fish especially my father in law. For him, no fish no dish. We have fish served almost everyday. Eating fish is good for our health; it contains omega 3 fatty acids, a type of fat which helps our blood less likely to form clots that may cause heart attacks. Besides helps maintain healthy hearts, eating fish is also good for brain; older people who eat fish at least once a week are at lower risk of developing dementia including Alzheimer’s disease; the fatty acids in fish oils might reduce inflammation in the brain and play a part in regeneration of nerve cells.

Recently according to two new studies, eating a fish-rich diet is good for our eyes; it promotes a reduced risk of developing Age-related Macular Degeneration or AMD, a leading cause of blindness in old age. So make sure you include a fish rich diet in your menu.

Now there is a recipe contest for Great American Seafood cook off. There are top 5 recipes listed in www.greatamericanseafoodcookoff.com and they all look yummy to me. Since my favorite dish is fish, I voted for Pan Roasted Glazed Rockfish with Peas and Carrots from Chef Tafari Campbell of Maryland. This recipe is quite easy and simple to cook. It looks great and delicious! I might be able to get most of the ingredients locally except the Rockfish which I need to change with Salmon. When it is possible, despite of using the imported seafood which need longer transport time I prefer to use the domestic seafood which will be fresher and taste great.

Do visit their site and vote for your favorite recipe using domestic, sustainable seafood and enter to win a "Trip to New Orleans" prize package including two Southwest Airline roundtrip tickets, hotel accommodations, dining experiences and more!
