Xin Yi @ 3 ½

My little girl turned 3 ½ year old on 16th Dec 2009. She is getting more independent and more “mature” by the day. She doesn’t cry anymore when somebody visits us. I could even leave her with my mum or sister-in-law when I was in my hometown recently.

Since July, she has been able to recognize numbers (1 – 10) and read the alphabets from words. She likes to ask mummy the spelling of a word. Hopefully from this habit she can learn more spelling.

She likes to draw scribble and color but doesn’t like to write.

She can count objects, add them or subtract them. Recently she starts to do simple picture addition.

She is able to sing quite a few songs including the National Anthem, Negaraku.

Affected by her kor-kor, she is interested more in Ultraman, Transformers and Ben 10, not Barbie or Princess like most girls do. She can get along with her kor-kor well.

Her growth is quite good, weight 15.5kg and height 101cm, compare to 10 months ago her weight is increased 2.0kg and height is increased 6cm.

Her milk consumption is getting less, 200ml 1-2x daily. She started to take Pediasure Complete formula since September. Lately she can finish her meal faster. That’s a good improvement! *wink*

At home, sometimes she is very kpc, try to help mummy to brush the toilet bowl when she finished poo poo, wipe the dusty things, sweep or mop the floor, etc.

Next year we are going to send her to kindie, so mummy will have more me-me time, hehe... :D

Hi Martini, you sure got a good daughter there. Can see you bringing her up well.
I have a friend, single father, he taught his 10 year old daughter how to cook simple dishes...so he can watch TV.
She makes one heck of a char kueh teow too! Or fried rice....and only 10.

Martini, wishing you and family the best of Seasons greetings, Lee.
