Confirmation of Primary School Registration 2010

Finally we received a letter which stated Teng Hong is accepted at the Chinese Primary School where we registered him March last year and we have to confirm his registration within 20th July and 20th August 2009, otherwise the placement may be cancelled.

For the confirmation we need to bring:

  • Original child’s birth certificate
  • Letter from “Jabatan Pelajaran Wilayah Persekutuan KL”
  • A properly completed Form.
Teng Hong was so excited when he heard about it and could not wait to attend his 7 year old school, as what he always says. :)

A Best Friend’s Visit

I was so excited this past weekend. My best friend since I was six, Siek Hui was coming for holiday. She was here with her family, her sister and brother in law; they were on their way back from Penang to Padang, her sister and brother in law were on their way back to Medan. It has been a year since her husband underwent a procedure to insert a ring into his artery at Penang; two of his heart blood vessels are partially blocked. At this visit he went back to the doctor for annual check up and glad to know that the result is good.

Teng Hong and Xin Yi had been so excited a few weeks before their arrival. They were looking forward to playing with Alvin (Siek Hui’s son). As soon as they met, Teng Hong couldn’t wait to play with Alvin’s Nintendo DS, and later he exchanged his Sony PSP with Alvin's DS whenever they met. Kids being kids :)

They arrived at KL last Friday, soon after they checked in and had their lunch, we went to KLCC by train. Since they stayed at Cititel Mid Valley, it took only a few minutes to walk to the Komuter train station which is located just opposite to Megamall Mid Valley. We stopped at KL Sentral station and then continued the journey with Putra train to KLCC. We took the kids to the KLCC pool, but they were so disappointed to find out that the pool was closed due to some upgrading work!

Later I took them to Dinotrek at PetroSains while the mummies were busy shopping. The kids played happily in the Dinotrek for two hours. There are: Dino Chase, Dino Dance, Dino Dig, Dino Puzzle, Dino Feed, etc. With only RM 3 for children (5 – 12 years) and RM 6 for above 12 years, it really worth to let the children learn something about dinosaurs and have fun there!

Around 5.30pm we left KLCC by Putra train. It was so packed; we could only get to KL Sentral station. At Komuter train station we have to give up our tickets, we couldn’t get into the train after waited for so long, so we decided to take a Cab but none was available at this “after office hour”. At last we went back by bus after waited for some time, sigh!

Arrived at Megamall Mid Valley, hubby and father in law already there waiting for us to have dinner. :)

On Saturday, instead of going to Genting Highland as plan, we went to Desa Water Park for water blast. There are many pools there but they only had fun at Shock Wave pool (with waves as high as 1.5 meters), Surf Shark pool (children’s water playground), Action River (a river stream which is 1200meters long) and Water Factory (with machine which enables you to shoot water). Their main attraction Thunder Bolt, the longest and the first gravity-defying water coaster in Asia is too dangerous for the small kids to ride.

We left Desa Water Park around 3.30pm after having fun there for almost four hours. I sent them back to Megamall Mid Valley to do their shopping before I went back to pick them up at night, for dinner at Bangsar Village. Finally after dinner, it’s time for us to say good bye as they would leave KL the next day.

I miss you, my dearest friend. It’s great to catch up with you and your family!
