During The Raya Holiday

This year, the first day of Raya fell on 20th September 2009.

Early morning the kids woke up excitedly, thinking about the birthday party they were going to attend. Yeah, they were invited to two birthday parties by their cousins during the Raya holiday. One was tonight and another one was on 22th.

The kids were so happy when they finally met their cousins at Chatter Box Restaurant, Bangsar Village Shopping Centre. It was their cousin, Sze Monn’s birthday party. They played for a while before dinner was served and later, after the dinner, they dropped by the MPH bookstore. It’s time to cut the birthday cake when they were all back from MPH.

Xin Yi who loves cakes very much finished her piece of cake pretty fast and then she asked for another piece *roll eyes* .
Mummy really hopes she can finish her meals as fast as the cakes.

It was about ten o’clock when we finally said good bye …

Two days later, they attended another cousin, Nicholas’s birthday party. It was at KizSports & Gym, Bangsar Village 2. We arrived there at 1pm, two hours earlier so the kids could have some fun at the playland.

The kids stopped playing when the party started; they had their food but before they finished everything on their plates, they disappeared back to the playland. The kids were more interested in playing rather than having their food.

Later they gathered again at cake cutting session. It was a big jelly bithday cake with animal jungle/zoo theme.

Teng Hong managed to get the “lion” and he proudly told mummy that he ate the “lion”.

Xin Yi cried when she couldn't get the “elephant”.
Poor girl, instead of “elephant”, she got “butterfly”, “flower” and “ladybird”.

After eating the cake, all the kids were stuck at the playland again.

Later, after four hours having fun at the Kizsports playland, we finally could get the kids out of the playland. It was indeed a very exciting and tiring day for them. Just imagine they ran, climbed up the ropes, slid down and crawled through the tunnels for four hours!

Junko’s 2nd Visit to Kuala Lumpur (6th – 7th September 2009)

Junko Kishi is my Japanese friend who I met fifteen years ago at Taipei City tour. Since then we keep in touch by sending greeting cards to each other every year and some lovely presents once in a while.

Last year in September I was so happy and excited when she visited me and my family. Yeah, finally after fourteen years we met again. She stayed with us for a few days and we had a wonderful time!

This year she was back to Malaysia with her sister, Tomoko. This was her sister’s first visit to Malaysia. They went to Kota Kinabalu a few days before came to Kuala Lumpur.

Last Sunday upon their arrival, we (hubby, me and my two kids) went to Park Royal Hotel at Jalan Sultan Ismail to meet them. We then bring them out for sightseeing to Thean Hou Temple which Junko didn’t have chance to go at her previous visit to KL. After that we went home to pick up father-in-law before went to buy “Kam Lun Tai” mooncakes and some curry powder to bring back to Tokyo, also some fruits like: mango, mangosteen, pomelo, dragon fruit, etc. Junko and her sister love Malaysian local fruits very much. According to them, the fruits are delicious and much cheaper than in Tokyo.

Later in the evening we had Nyonya food at Ah Tuan Ee’s place @ SS2. We ordered Pai Tee, Gulai Tumis Fish (Asam Fish), Jeu Hoo Char, Stir-Fried Four Angled Beans with Sambal, Stir-Fried Kangkung with Sambal, Curry Chicken, Fried Golden Beancurd topped with Minced Meat and Ice Cendol. Both Junko and her sister love Nyonya food very much, especially the Curry Chicken and Pai Tee.

After the dinner we went home for chatting and having some fruits and mooncakes. The two aunties also helped Xin Yi out with the Sanrio’s Flower and Clothing stalls decoration which Junko bought for her. This round, again the kids were showered with plenty of gifts from Sanrio Puroland, also some cakes and cookies.

We sent them back to hotel at around 10.30pm after the fruit party. :)

The next day I let them join the KL Hop-On Hop-Off City tour which they can easily access from their hotel. Later in the late afternoon, after grabbed some RotiBoy (their favorite bread) from KLCC, I managed to meet them at hotel before they left for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

It’s time to say goodbye; though it’s only a short visit, we really had a great catch up!

I really thank them for coming to visit me and my family, I appreciate it very much!
