She Turns 4

Xin Yi had an early birthday celebration at her kindy on 3rd June 2010, just a few days before school holiday started.

Early celebration @kindy

Mummy ordered a Chocolate cake with Cinderella picture (her choice) as her birthday cake. She loves it so much. Yeah, as she grows up Xin Yi now loves Barbie and Princess, not only Ultraman, Transformers, Ben 10 and all sorts of boyish toys. She wishes Barbie as her birthday present. And of course her wish is granted. It is her first Barbie!

This year has been an explosion of learning for her. She is able to read and understand about 60 Chinese characters and books with simple words, like: "Peter and Jane book 1a", "Odonata Chinese books 100 words book 1", etc. At bed time, she hardly miss her story books reading session, she will ask mummy or daddy to read for her or some time she will take turn to tell the stories.

Her growth is quite good; weight 16kg and height 103cm. She stopped wearing diapers since she was three and a half years old.

Her milk consumption remains the same, 200ml 1-2x daily. She now can drink her milk and finish her meal a bit faster. Once in a while she can drink and eat by herself. Mummy hopes she can do it all by herself soon.

She is in Playhouse Disney and Astro Xiao Tai Yang Birthday Book for June

Two months ago, mummy managed to send her photo to Playhouse Disney Birthday Book and yes, she was selected! She was so excited when she saw herself in the Birthday Book. Her photo is also telecasted in Astro Xiao Tai Yang Birthday Book for June.

On Her Actual Birthday

In the afternoon daddy brought her to Baskin Robbins for ice cream treats. So coincidence, Baskin Robbins has promotion on Wednesday; Wed = Pink day. If you show them something in pink then you will get your Double Jr. scoop for a price of one Single scoop.

Later at the night we had simple dinner with immediate family at a nearby cafĂ©. This time birthday girl requested a Barbie cake, so A Ko (daddy’s sister) managed to get it for her. Thank you very much, A Ko.

Happy 4th Birthday, Xin Yi. May you always stay healthy and happy!
