We’re Back

After three weeks having great time in my hometown (Medan), finally we were back to Kuala Lumpur last Sunday. Hubby joined us two days prior to our return day.

On board MAS, Teng Hong & Xin Yi are so excited, can't wait to meet their cousins.

During our stay in Medan, Teng Hong and Xin Yi were so happy playing with their cousins and friends. This time, Teng Hong was able to speak better Chinese with them while Xin Yi was still trying her best.

On 3rd December, my family had a simple memorial ceremony for my late father at home. This was the first time I was able to attend it on time since I moved to KL.

At the weekend, my brother took the kids to play water at Mutiara swimming pool and on 7th December, my best friend in Medan, Che and her family took us to Mora Indah at Tanjung Morawa. There the kids visited the poor mini zoo which is not well-maintained, rode on the train and marie-go-round, and played at the water theme park. This is a newly built water theme park which gets the kids very excited; they played at the long slides for more than an hour. The entrance fee is IDR 30,000 for adult and IDR 20,000 for children.

We went back to Che’s house before she took us to Babura Steamboat for dinner.

Beside visiting relative and friends, I had a few gatherings with ex-school friends and ex-colleagues whom some of them I never met for more than 20 years. We had lunch at “Sedap Nusantara’ and “Lembur Kuring” restaurants; both are Indonesian restaurants which serve Javanese and Sundanese food.

We chatted for a few hours while enjoying the food.

My friends Fang, Merry & family, Jenny & family also bought us lunch / dinner. They always give me good treats every time I return to my hometown.

Thank you very much, friends!

We enjoyed our trip very much. Teng Hong even asked me to take him back to Medan the next day when we're back to KL!

Here’s wishing you all a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
Hoping this Christmas & New Year bring you and family joy, love and excellent health.
