This morning father-in-law went to a nearby government clinic. He has not been feeling well since last Saturday. He complained that he has a lot of phlegm and no appetite; he only had a few bites of breads since Sunday and as a result he felt very weak and like floating in the air.
Back from clinic, I bought him vermicelli (mee sua) but he has no appetite. He only took a bit and went to nap. Later when he woke up, I asked him to eat some biscuits. I saw him ate some and went back to his room to rest.
At around 4.35pm, to refresh himself father-in-law had a shower. As usual he took a long shower.
I was shocked when I heard noise from inside the bathroom. Father-in-law fell down; hubby who just came back from office, rushed in and crashed the bathroom’s door. We found father-in-law half-sitting half-lying on the floor; he was too weak to get up on his own. There was an open wound on the back of his head and two scratches at his back. He slipped and knocked his head on the wall. Luckily there was not much bleeding.
After let father-in-law rest for a while, hubby called his brother and later they sent the father to hospital for stitching.
Came back from hospital, father-in-law napped again. When he got up, I managed to get him eat some rice before he went back to sleep.
Poor father-in-law, hope he gets well soon.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes.
I am glad father-in-law feels much better now. Though his apetite has yet back to normal, he has started to take his meals.
The stitches are getting dry and can be removed in another three days.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh Martini... that was really sad to hear... stitches can be really painful but am sure being in the care of such a wonderful d-i-l like you, your f-i-l must be really happy. I wish him a complete recovery soon :)
glad to hear that he's better now.. maybe give him small meals but more often to compensate for the lack of appetite?

Hi Sting,
Thank you.
Sure we will keep reminding him to take small meals more often.
Seems his appetite has improved slightly...
