Time really flies. She turned six last Saturday. It seems like just yesterday when she did entirely depend on me. Now, she has grown into an adorable little girl who is quite independent and helpful at times. She does most of her own chores but she still likes mummy to feed her. She does her homework all by herself, helps mummy with the vegetables and dishes and helps her nine years old brother to wash his school shoes every once in a while.
This year, she celebrated her birthday with her friends at kindie and also with immediate family at Indulge Cafe. Instead of a Barbie or Princess cake, she chose Hokkaido Mille Crepe cake. It's a yummy cake!

She got a musical box from mummy which she loves very much and some other presents from the family.
It was indeed her BIG day!
This morning, mummy attended her kindie’s teacher-parent meeting. There is no more assessment report since Ministry of Education has given direction that there will be no examination and written assessment for preschool children. So the kindie is introducing the new monthly report on the progress of the children.
Before the end of the first term, the children were given some revision on the topics they have learnt follow by some works to do for their exercises.
Her class teacher reported that Xin Yi is good in all subjects. She is a quiet and careful type but able to socialize well with her classmates.
When come to sing alone or tell story time, she is still lack of confident. I told her teacher that these do not happen at home!
Mummy hopes she can get more confident and better in these areas as she grows up.
