Are You Getting Annoying Calls?

I did get annoying calls once in a while; most of them were from telemarketers. There were a few times I received calls from annoying callers who immediately hung up when I picked up the phone. You know how annoying they were; it happened more than ten times in a day.

I really hate this kind of Annoying Callers especially if they called while I was putting my little girl to sleep. You can imagine my girl who just dozed off suddenly wide awake and could not go back to sleep. Sigh!

Now you can share information on those phone numbers used by annoying callers or telemarketers at AnnoyingCallers.com. You can also search the phone number which has troubled you and get the details, so next time when you see the number you can decide whether to answer it or not.

KizSports & Gym is now at Bangsar Village II, Kuala Lumpur

Last Sunday after breakfast at Lucky Garden, Bangsar; we went to Bangsar Village II for a “walk”; we spent some time at MPH and later let the children play at KizSports. It was our first visit since KizSports relocated their facilities from Bangsar Shopping Complex to Bangsar Village II.

Daddy likes to bring the children to have hours of fun at KizSports 1Utama and at the same time to burn some extra fat. That place has become one of our family favorite weekend outings since two years ago.

The playland at KizSports Bangsar Village II is smaller than the one at 1Utama. Here the platforms are lower and they don’t have multi level slides but it is more suitable for younger children like Xin Yi to explore. Mummy is more confident to let Xin Yi explore and experience it alone by herself; climb up and down the platforms, the ropes, crawl in the tunnels, slide down, etc.

Apart from the playland, they have main programs: Early Learning Academy (ELA) & Early Fitness Academy (EFA) and other programs such as: Victoria readers, Art & Craft, Ballet, Taekwondo, etc.

Location:
Bangsar Village II Shopping Centre
Lot 3F-1A, 3rd Floor

Our Singapore Trip (15th – 17th August 2008)

Daddy took time of his busy work schedule to take the family to Singapore for a weekend holiday. It was Teng Hong’s third visit and Xin Yi’s second visit to Singapore. We stayed at Janti’s apartment; mummies had more time to do catch up and our kids could play and have fun.

15th August 2008
Around 2.30pm we departed for Singapore. On the way we had to stop for a couple of time for attending to nature call. We had dinner at KFC at the Second Link, the last stop before preceded to the Johor Bahru Immigration and then Singapore Immigration Check Point.

We arrived at Janti’s place at around 9.00pm. Daddy had prior arrangement with friends, so he went out. Mummy and Janti chatted while the children, Teng Hong, Xin Yi and Valerie (Janti’s daughter) entertained themselves by watching Ultraman DVD which we brought with us. Before long it was already pass midnight and we called it a night.

16th August 2008
Janti and mummy went to market to buy some breakfast. Janti then had to attend a workshop for preparing children with hearing problem to enter an ordinary Primary School at Singapore General Hospital. Janti’s son, Gabriel has hearing problem since birth; he just had a Cochlear implant surgery for his right ear in the past two months and this is one of the main reasons we took the trip.

Later we went to Tampines Mall for a walk; daddy bought an Ultraman DVD for Teng Hong and mummy did some necessary shopping. It seems everything is more expensive than in Kuala Lumpur except some of the baby’s stuffs like feeding accessories. We went back after lunch at MOS Burger (not recommended).

At around 4.30pm we went to CSC (Civil Service) Club at Bukit Batok West Avenue 2 for swimming playing water. There are a few pools: slide tower, wave, lap and drift pools, jacuzzi, 2-tiered cascading waterfall and water play facilities. It looks like a mini Sunway Lagoon Water Park in Kuala Lumpur.

Teng Hong is so excited, he couldn't wait to jump into the water.

Teng Hong and Xin Yi are playing at the Caribbean Pirates ship slide.

The Jacuzzi which Xin Yi likes to dip inside :)

Teng Hong is trying to shoot someone with the water gun.

Slide tower which is about 10 metres high.

Xin Yi is having fun with the wave.

The kids played happily for almost two hours. Daddy didn’t join us, he went Audio CDs hunting.

On the way back to Janti’s place, we picked up daddy near the Tampines Mall and went for dinner at KFC again (It’s the kids’ choice, hehe…).

Story telling by Valerie Jie-Jie

Tonight after the daddy and kids went to sleep, Janti and mummy had a long chat until 4.00 am. We chatted about everything from personal, health, daily activity, children development and education to stock market. It was absolutely a great catch up!

17th August 2008
In the morning while Janti and family went to church, mummy was busy packing the bags and preparing the kids to go out for lunch.

Gabriel and Xin Yi take turn to sort the wooden shape blocks.

At around 12.00pm we went to Tampines Mall for lunch with Janti and Valerie. After lunch we left for Kuala Lumpur and Janti attended a Shichida class with her son, Gabriel.

Around 2.30pm we left for home. We reached KL also at around 9.00pm :)

We plan to go there again during Christmas.

The lovely Golden Kiwi which we brought back from Singapore, was told that it has higher Vitamin C content.

Blueberry which Teng Hong & Xin Yi can't stop eating, also brought back from Singapore.

Save Money and Environment with Solvent Recovery System

Solvent has been widely used in certain manufacturing processes. Some may be an input to a manufacturing process and some may be used for parts or machines cleaning process.

The use of solvent often generates waste which is both costly and damaging to the environment. Now, with the advanced technology in Solvent Recovery, companies can consider the use of Solvent Recovery System to decrease the amount of solvent waste by separating the contaminants from the original solvent to allow it to be reused.

With Waste Recovery System everyone can reduce, reuse, recycle and save!

I love those novels by Sidney Sheldon.

Where do you usually read?

Yes, I will keep them until I run out of space then I will sort them out to be given away.

Termites Guide

Many years ago, my parents’ house was heavily infested with termites. The roof of the house was severely damaged and they had to change it. Since the incident, they have to do the termite inspection periodically.

Now there is an online termites guide which provides useful information on how to get rid of termites, covering all of the basics - from how you can tell if your home is infested with termites, improvements to make to keep them from getting in, to specific explanation of how each termite control product works and what the advantages and disadvantages of each one are.

Renault Kangoo Goothering

Daddy had a “goothering” with some of the Kangoo Club Malaysia (KCM) members at a workshop at Bandar Puteri Puchong this morning. One of the members plans to go back to US and they were there to have a farewell “party” with him. All of us went with daddy and enjoyed our “Roti Canai” and “Teh Tarik” (a type of flatbread and tea with condensed milk) at a Curry House nearby the workshop. After that, daddy and the KCM members did some check on the Kangoo cars.

You can visit the KCM webby to find out more about the Club.

Need to Promote Your Products or Services?

Trade show is a very powerful marketing medium to promote products or services. It is an exhibition where companies in a particular industry gather to showcase or demonstrate their products or services. By having trade shows companies expect to get new markets or new customers.

The company I used to work for would have trade show at least once a year, most of the shows were in Taipei, Taiwan but sometimes they have it in other Asian countries or in the Europe. I heard they just had a trade show in Milan, Italy last year.

To have a successful trade show, one needs a strategic marketing plan and lot of preparation, from the products to the trade show itself. Nowadays there are a lot of companies which will help you to organize the trade show; they offer layout design and variety of trade show exhibits, trade show displays, table covers, table top display, truss displays, banner stands and much more which will help you to enhance your exhibits.

Hair Cut Time

Teng Hong and Xin Yi had their hair cut last week. Here’s how they look before and after the hair cut.

I have no problem with Teng Hong; he will go to the hair-salon without a fuss and sit still for a proper hair cut. Lately he could even complain to the hair-dresser if he felt uncomfortable or pain. He refused the hair-dresser to use thinning scissor (shear) which will cause pain when the hair-dresser cut his hair, so instead of using the scissor the hair-dresser will only use the hair clipper. He also kept telling the hair-dresser “don’t cut my ears” and at his last visit he has made everyone in the room laughed when he tried to protect his ears by covering it with his hand. That was very cute :)

For Xin Yi, it was not a very good moment for her. Every time the hair started to drop at her neck she would start to cry. I am not sure why. It could be she afraid of the hair-dresser or the uncomfortable feeling cause by the dropping hair at her neck. There were many times I had to carry her in order to let the hair-dresser to finish the trimming. Hope that she will grow out of it soon.
